ONCE UPON A TIME
Seven Seas launched its first product:
Pure Cod Liver Liquid.
During the Second World War, Cod Liver Oil Liquid was distributed for free to families and children.
Marketing its products at home and abroad became a vital part of the Seven Seas Brand. Seven Seas Pure Cod Liver Oil products were exported to Malaysia and all of the Commonwealth countries.
DHA (then often called cervonic acid) was identified as a major fatty acid in brain lipids in the 1950s.
Through advances in lipid chemistry, the structures of long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (including EPA and DHA) were progressively determined.
Seven Seas adopted the hermetic refining method ensuring high quality Cod Liver Oil.
Seven Seas expanded and moved into production of vitamin & mineral supplements, with Omega-3 (EPA & DHA) at the centre of everything we do.
